HOSPICE SUPPORT
Hospice support in a peaceful, home-like setting
We work alongside licensed hospice providers so your loved one can stay in familiar surroundings.
No disruptive move at the hardest time
When a family reaches the point of hospice care, the last thing they need is another move. Residents receiving hospice services stay where they are settled, surrounded by familiar faces and routines. We continue the daily residential care we always have, while a licensed hospice provider of your choosing delivers the clinical hospice services.
How the partnership works
We are a licensed personal care home, not a hospice agency. Hospice care is provided by licensed third-party hospice organizations. What we offer is the home and the daily support around it.
The hospice provider
Licensed third party, chosen by your family
- Clinical care and pain management
- Medical decisions, in coordination with the resident's physician
- Visits from hospice nurses, aides, chaplains, and social workers
- Family counselling and bereavement support
Home by Mother's Hands
The residence and daily care around it
- 24-hour supervision and personal care
- Meals adapted to changing appetite and comfort
- A quiet, dignified room and a calm household
- Housekeeping, laundry, and companionship
- Close coordination with the hospice team and the family
Why staying put matters
Moving a resident during their final months can be disorienting and distressing. Remaining in a familiar home, with caregivers they already know and trust, allows for a gentler experience. Comfort, dignity, and peace, in a place that feels like home rather than a facility.
